A carlota or carlota de limón is a type of "bread pudding" (similar to a Charlotte Cake). It's a common dessert in Mexico, containing, like so many Mexican dishes, limes.
It takes about 10 - 20 minutes to make, a couple of hours to chill.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Condensed milk | 2 cans |
| Limes | 3 - 6 depending on size |
| Peaches | 1 can |
| Vanilla wafers | 1 box |
Ingredients for making carlota
Directions
Squeeze limes into blender. Add condensed milk, juice from canned peaches, and 1 whole peach to blender. Blend.
Get a large bowl with a flat bottom. Lightly coat bottom with pudding from blender.
Cover coating with vanilla wafers. Cover vanilla wafers with more pudding. Repeat until all the pudding is used up.
Slice and place peaches on top.
Chill 2 - 3 hours in fridge. Serve cold.
